Graduate Program in Health Care Corporate Compliance Receives Award
On April 22, 2007, the George Washington University Graduate Certificate Program in Healthcare Corporate Compliance received the Healthcare Compliance Certification Board’s (HCCB) Compliance and Ethics Award. The Program is offered in partnership with the law firm of Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP in Washington, DC.
The graduate certificate program offers education in healthcare laws and regulations as well as tools and strategies for creating effective corporate compliance programs. It is the second program to achieve HCCB Certification and the first to offer an online Distance Learning segment. Debbie Troklus, President of Healthcare Compliance Certification Board (HCCB) and Vice President, Health Affairs/Compliance, University of Louisville School of Medicine, while presenting the award to Phyllis Borzi, JD, MA, who accepted the award on behalf of George Washington University, said George Washington University ‘s Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Corporate Compliance is the “first online certificate program, thus making compliance education more accessible to current or aspiring corporate compliance officers.”
