Associates Camellia Jacobs and Katherine O'Rourke Successfully Represent Appellee in Domestic Violence Appeal

Associates Camellia Jacobs and Katherine O'Rourke successfully represented the appellee in a domestic violence appeal before the District Columbia Court of Appeals.  The appellant challenged a civil protection order ("CPO") granted in favor of our client.  The Court of Appeals found that even though the appellee's petition did not specifically plead the intra-family offense of "stalking," the resulting CPO entered against him was nevertheless justified based upon the underlying behavior that was alleged in appellee's petition, which supported the trial court's finding of stalking.
