Corporate Compliance Trainings: Jacki Leifer and Adam Falk On Tour Now

Nearly overnight, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) created thousands of new grant recipients. To address this development, partner Adam Falk and senior partner Jacki Leifer, in conjunction with RSM McGladrey Inc., have hit the road to conduct a series of corporate compliance trainings, sponsored in part by the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC). The training sessions aim to educate Community Health Centers about the significant risks imposed upon grant recipients that fail to take adequate steps to maintain compliance with ARRA’s strict legal requirements.

In today’s climate of heightened accountability, transparency and enforcement, any organization that receives Stimulus funds should anticipate – and plan for - a high level of scrutiny in regard to use of that money. At each two-day training session, Leifer and Falk teach grant recipients how to review their compliance programs and ensure they are active and effective in reducing compliance risks. From tracking Stimulus funds separately to following government-wide reporting requirements, understanding the details and timelines for the many compliance issues involved is the first step toward the smooth, hassle-free use of ARRA funds.
