Professional Information:

Mr. Goldsby practices principally in the area of family law, and handles cases in jurisdictions throughout Northern Virginia.  His practice includes all aspects of family law including; the negotiation, litigation and appeal of cases involving separation and divorce, child custody and visitation, child and spousal support and division of marital property.  Mr. Goldsby has been a family law practitioner for over 15 years. During that time, he has appeared frequently in courts throughout Northern Virginia where he has served as lead counsel in dozens of family law trials.  He has also successfully written and argued appeals before the Virginia Court of Appeals.  Notwithstanding his experience and success in the courtroom, Mr. Goldsby strives to help his clients achieve their goals in a manner which, as much as possible, preserves the dignity and resources of the family; and to that end, resolves most of his cases through negotiated agreements. 

In 2007, Mr. Goldsby was named by Washingtonian Magazine as one of the "Top Lawyers in the Washington DC Area" in the field of Domestic Relations.
 
Mr. Goldsby serves as a Motions Conciliator for the Fairfax County Circuit Court, and Fairfax County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.  Outside of the office, Mr. Goldsby enjoys being a competitive swimming official and is a Committee Chair for the Northern Virginia Swimming League, the largest summer swimming league in the country.

Represented the Father in a custody case where the Mother's relocation with the parties' children was enjoined because the reasons to relocate did not independently benefit the children.
