Julia Zoë Beckerman

J. Zoë Beckerman practices in the areas of government grants, corporate and business law, and health care law, with a special emphasis on federally funded programs. She assists organizations across the country who receive federal grants and operate in highly regulated industries. In addition, she has extensive policy experience in Head Start and helps the Head Start community strategize about grants issues, compliance, and legislative affairs. She joined Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP in September 2005 and became a partner in January of 2010 when she assumed the role of Managing Principal of FT Solutions, LLC, the firm’s consulting arm.

Prior to her legal career, Ms. Beckerman worked for the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation as a Senior Policy Analyst in women’s health policy where she specialized in low-income women’s health insurance coverage and access to care. She was also a Presidential Management Intern at the National Institutes of Health and worked on science policy issues. As a part of her PMI, Ms. Beckerman worked for the Senate HELP Subcommittee on Public Health and Safety on women’s health, genetic anti-discrimination, and HIV policy.

In addition to regularly leading trainings for grantee audiences across the country and publishing, Ms. Beckerman leads the Dean's Advisory Council for the George Washington University School of Public Health & Health Services.
