Marisa B. Guevara practices in the areas of federal grants law, litigation, health care law, and corporate and business law, with a special emphasis on federally funded programs, such as Head Start and Medicaid. Ms. Guevara has worked with several federal grantees on a variety of programmatic and fiscal matters, as well as regulatory and legislative issues. She has drafted administrative appeals, contracts, corporate articles and bylaws, and other matters since she joined the Washington, D.C. law firm of Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP in September 2007.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Guevara was a Research Assistant at the Health Policy Institute at Georgetown University, where she co-authored consumer guides on medical record rights in several states. While attending American University's Washington College of Law, Ms. Guevara appeared as amicus curiae on behalf of the National Institute of Military Justice before the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces in the case of United States v. Edmond, 63 MJ 343. Ms. Guevara’s legislative experiences include internships in both the Maryland General Assembly and the United States House of Representatives.
