In her work, Elizabeth strives to ensure that her clients are meeting the obligations of the statutes and agreements that underlie their grant. Recognizing the many strings that attach to federal grants, Elizabeth assists clients with navigating these requirements, including the drafting contracts to ensure that organizations are appropriately passing through any grant requirements to contractors
Elizabeth’s background is in national health care policy-making. Prior to joining the firm, Elizabeth served on the U.S. Senate Finance Committee through the David A. Winston Fellowship, learning first-hand the process of drafting and developing federal legislation. While earning a joint J.D. /M.P.H. degree from the University of Minnesota, she worked at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, offering her insight into the management of legal issues at one of the nation’s largest integrated providers.
Elizabeth is well aware of the challenge to implement and remain in compliance with federal policies. She strives to make sure that despite these challenges, her clients are still able to carry out their programs and fulfill their mission.
