FTLF Partner to Speak at Georgetown Law’s 44th International Trade Update on the CHIPS Incentive Program

FTLF Partner Scott S. Sheffler has been invited to speak at the prestigious International Trade Update, hosted by Georgetown Law, taking place June 13-14, 2023 in Washington, DC. The event brings together top regulators, policymakers, attorneys and thought leaders for robust discussions on trade and customs law and policy.

A leading federal grants attorney, Mr. Sheffler will focus on the implications of accepting CHIPS Act funding in his session, “The Biden Administration’s Industrial Policy: What Your Clients Need to Know Now.” Many organizations, including for-profit entities, receiving awards under this new legislation may not fully understand the legal landscape in relation to the grants system, as well as the specialized conditions of the program’s capital funding opportunities.
