FTLF Partners Present at the Family Law Section of the Fairfax County Bar
What does Maryland law provide with regard to child support and alimony? Is it the same or different from the laws of the District of Columbia and Virginia? What about the division of property in divorce? Do the three jurisdictions handle this issue in the same way or differently?
Three Feldesman Tucker partners addressed these and many other related questions in a seminar presented to members of the Family Law Section of the Fairfax County Bar Association on February 13th. Jonathan Dana, Jennifer Davison and Richard Gray highlighted the very considerable differences in how the three jurisdictions handle both the substantive and procedural questions raised in Family Law matters. This knowledge is particularly important in our metropolitan area where many divorce cases cut across state lines and involve the laws of more than one jurisdiction.
