Washington, DC – Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP (FTLF) is pleased to announce the addition of former U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of Inspector General (OIG) Senior Counsel Kristen M. Schwendinger and former Department of Justice Honors Program attorney Rosie Dawn Griffin to its False Claims Act practice.
Ms. Schwendinger joins the firm as a senior counsel, having served for nearly eight years as an attorney and senior counsel in HHS-OIG. She brings extensive experience in HHS-OIG investigations and administrative proceedings, as well as False Claims Act matters. Ms. Schwendinger represented HHS on a government-wide grant fraud task force, and, among other accomplishments, worked on many of the significant False Claims Act matters brought against universities over the past decade, including cases involving dozens of universities, such as Duke, Columbia, University of Florida, Harvard, Iowa State, and the University of North Texas.
Ms. Griffin joins the firm as a senior associate with broad False Claims Act experience. Prior to FTLF, Ms. Griffin worked at an elite relator’s side False Claims Act firm, representing whistleblowers in state and federal False Claims Act cases across a variety of industries. Her work involved matters related to HHS, the Department of Defense (Navy and Army procurement), the Department of Transportation, and other agencies. Ms. Griffin also served as a Department of Justice Honors Program attorney.
