FTLF Attorney Presents HCCA Webinar on Research Grant Requirements for Reporting Discrimination and Harassment

FTLF Senior Counsel Phillip Escoriaza will present a webinar hosted by the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) on May 13, 2021, from 1-2:30 p.m. EDT.

The webinar, “Reflection and Discussion: Research Grant Requirements for Reporting of Discrimination and Harassment,” will provide an update on the latest studies and stories about diversity, discrimination, and harassment in the U.S. STEM workforce. The presentation will also address the NSF, NIH, and NASA requirements incorporated into the terms of research grants.

In addition, Mr. Escoriaza will discuss:

  • How requirements in research grants related to discrimination can be incorporated in different ways into your compliance training.
  • Examples of case-based training scenarios offerings, such as the top ten scenarios in which researchers might face administrative action.
  • The differences between University action versus action by federal agency, and the challenge in rendering a decision as to whether the matter stem from “concerns about safety and/or work environments.
