Today, FTLF Partner Scott Sheffler will speak during several sessions at the Florida Council for Resource Development’s (FCRD) Spring Conference, taking place in St. Petersburg, FL. Mr. Sheffler’s presentations will focus on federal post-award compliance with grant terms and conditions.

Policies and Procedures
11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Federal grantees must have compliant policies and procedures to guide management of their federal awards. During this session, Mr. Sheffler will explain why policies and procedures are needed, what should be included, and the risks organizations face when these guidelines are not in place or followed.

Subrecipient Monitoring
1:30 – 2:45 p.m. ET and 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. ET

Increasingly, federal awarding agencies are scrutinizing subawards, looking for proof of risk assessments and subsequent specific monitoring steps. Throughout this presentation, Mr. Sheffler will discuss common pitfalls across grant types and practical steps and tools that grantees can use to mitigate risk in subrecipient relationships.
