Washington, DC – Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP is pleased to announce Partner Nicole M. Bacon’s new leadership role as the President of the Federal Bar Association’s DC Chapter, effective October 1, 2019.

Ms. Bacon joined FBA’s DC Chapter in 2010.  During her tenure, she has served in a number of leadership positions including, Secretary, Vice President, and President-elect.  As President, Ms. Bacon will work to enhance the professional growth and development of members of the Federal legal profession.  Additionally, Ms. Bacon plans to increase membership, especially government practitioners.

“I’m very excited to lead the chapter this year during the centennial celebration of the Federal Bar Association,” said Ms. Bacon. “I look forward to working with the sections and divisions of the FBA as well as the Capitol Hill and Pentagon Chapters.”

As a partner in the firm’s Federal Grants, Health Care Law, and Litigation practice groups, Ms. Bacon regularly advises a variety of community-based organizations including, Head Start programs and Federally-Qualified Health Centers, in a wide range of issues before State and Federal courts as well as administrative bodies.  She also provides specialized guidance on compliance with federal grant law including, the Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements of Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance) in addition to the programmatic requirements for specific grant programs.

Ms. Bacon has always been passionate about helping underserved and underrepresented clients and feels strongly about assisting organizations that are fighting systemic issues.  Helping these organizations to better aid the populations they serve drives her work every day.
