Today, FTLF Partner Scott Sheffler will speak at the State of Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration Annual Training. This annual event for State government CPAs will bring together approximately 200 finance personnel from across Tennessee’s agencies.

Mr. Sheffler’s presentation will focus on best grant management practices for state finance personnel. Specifically, he will review the legal framework underpinning federal financial assistance, key compliance implications of subawards and contracts, and federal interest. Mr. Sheffler will also give an overview of the recent changes to the Uniform Grants Guidance, highlighting emerging challenges for grant management during COVID-19.
