FTLF Partner To Present at GrantSummit

FTLF federal grants and contracts attorney Scott S. Sheffler will lead multiple sessions at GrantSummit, the Grant Professionals Association’s (GPA) Annual Conference, from November 1 – 4, 2023, in Kansas City, MO. During his presentations, Mr. Sheffler will provide strategies and solutions to address key considerations for federal grantees working with subrecipients or managing capital projects.

Mr. Sheffler’s first session, “Managing Subrecipients Under Federal Grant Awards: Strategies for Oversight,” takes place on Thursday, November 2 from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Using real-life examples, Mr. Sheffler will address various risk areas that grantees face when engaging subrecipients.

On Friday, November 3 from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m., Mr. Sheffler will present “Federally Funded Capital Projects” and discuss special requirements when using federal dollars to aid in construction. Created for nonprofits and local governments, this session will focus on the procurement process, including Buy America provisions, potential environmental and historical implications, and the provision of federal interest.
