Jacki Leifer, Adam Falcone, and Marty Bree Address Community Health Centers in Indiana on Corporate Compliance

By , , | Published On: April 15, 2013

On April 11-12, 2013, Jacki Leifer, Adam Falcone, and Marty Bree of FTLF’s health care practice group, conducted NACHC Corporate Compliance Training, which was hosted by the Indiana Primary Health Care Association. The training addressed the evolution of corporate compliance programs under federal law, the seven elements of effective compliance programs, and the impact of health reform on fraud and abuse enforcement efforts. The training also identified key compliance risk areas for community health centers, including those related to federal grants management and administration, billing and reimbursement, health center program requirements, and FTCA coverage compliance. Given the increase in fraud enforcement and program integrity activities under health reform, as well as the introduction of HRSA operational assessments, the NACHC Corporate Compliance Training come at the right time for health centers. Future NACHC Corporate Compliance Training opportunities can be found by visiting www.HealthCenterCompliance.com. Primary Care Associations, and other associations that are interested in hosting a Compliance Training, should contact Vanessa White, Manager of Trainings, at VWhite@feldesman.com.

Mr. Bree is a member of the New Jersey Bar and is not licensed in Washington, DC. His practice is limited to federal health care matters.
