Marina Barannik and Sarah Zimmerman Named Top Women Super Lawyers

Two partners in the Family Law Group at Feldesman Tucker have been named to the exclusive Top 50: 2020 Women Washington, DC Super Lawyers List.  Regarded as among the “Best of the Best,” Marina S. Barannik and Sarah J. Zimmerman were selected through a proprietary multiphase process involving peer nomination, independent research, and peer evaluation.  To achieve “Top List” designation, lawyers must earn the highest point totals.

Marina Barannik is skilled in resolving complicated custody and property division cases and known for her expertise in helping international families who face additional cross-cultural challenges of dealing with family law issues in a foreign country.  A careful listener and strategic thinker, Marina works to achieve positive results through negotiation, mediation, collaborative law, and litigation.  Marina is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) and has been consistently recognized as a Washingtonian Top Family and Divorce Lawyer since 2015. She has also been named a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers.

Experienced in all forms of dispute resolution, including Collaborative law and mediation, Sarah Zimmerman excels in managing and resolving complex financial and custody cases.  Working to minimize the financial and emotional impact of divorce and helping clients make informed decisions, whether in litigation or a settlement process, are hallmarks of Sarah’s approach.   Sarah is also known for her commitment to the hard work of problem-solving with both sides, believing that a constructive approach typically brings client matters to an expedient and favorable resolution.  Sarah was voted the Best Family Law Practitioner by Bethesda Magazine readers in 2020 and has perennially been selected to the Washington, DC Super Lawyers list for Family Law since 2010.  Sarah was also named a Top Family Law and Divorce Attorney in Washington, DC by Washingtonian Magazine in 2019 and is the President of the DC Academy of Collaborative Professionals.
