Michael Glomb, a Partner in FTLF’s health care practice, was a featured speaker at the 340B Coalition Conference held in Washington, D.C. on July 15-17. Mr. Glomb, who regularly advises the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) and federally-qualified health centers (FQHCs) on 340B compliance issues, spoke on the future of 340 contract pharmacies, emphasizing the importance of contract pharmacies to FQHCs, many of which do not operate in-house pharmacies, and led panel discussions on 340B audits, third-party reimbursement for 340B drugs, and compliance issues of particular concern for FQHCs.

The 340B Coalition includes organizations representing health care providers, known as “covered entities,” eligible to purchase outpatient drugs under the federal 340B Drug Discount Program, including NACHC, Planned Parenthood, and Safety Net Hospitals for Pharmaceutical Access. The conference was attended by over 800 representatives of covered entities, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and 340B service vendors.
