Guidance for an ever-changing health care landscape.

Including policy design, agreements and payment methodologies.

The Health Care practice group has experience enabling us to assist a wide range of post-acute and long term care (PAC/LTC) providers. In terms of provider payment, we provide advice and counsel in the Medicare requirements of participation for long term care facilities and home health agencies, as well as federal and state law concerning services furnished to dual-eligible (Medicare-Medicaid) beneficiaries. We also counsel Programs for All-Inclusive Care of the Elderly (PACE) on Medicare-Medicaid payment and PACE program requirements. The firm additionally counsels providers in designing and implementing policies relating to compliance programs, emergency preparedness, and infection control and prevention. In the managed care realm, we advise PAC/LTC providers in negotiating provider agreements with Medicare Advantage organizations and Medicaid managed care organizations.

Our attorneys have presented and authored articles on PAC/LTC topics ranging from the recent overhaul of the skilled nursing facility (SNF) and home health prospective payment methodologies in Medicare, to compliance programs, emergency preparedness, patient confidentiality, and infection control requirements under the Medicare LTC requirements of participation.
