Ted Waters, partner of Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP, who is nationally recognized for his expertise in federal funding of health care services, will present a session, Understanding the Prospective Payment System, on April 24, 2013. As part of the Association of State and Territorial Dental Directors and the American Association of Public Health Dentistry’s Annual Joint Meeting held in Huntsville, AL, Mr. Waters, along with Mary Foley and Lynn Mouden, will discuss how Medicaid encounter rates are established for federally qualified health centers, negotiations that take place between States and FQHCs, and how the payment model affects finances and access to care.
